About the role
An exciting immediate opportunity for a Machine Operator & Packer (training provided) to join our established Production team based in our Scoresby plant. This permanent full-time position will function on day shifts across 5 days, starting at 6 am and finishing at 2 pm. A 38-hour week from Monday to Friday. A great opportunity to develop & progress your career with an industry leader and the world’s largest IML manufacturer.
Duties include
- Perform production duties including sorting, banding, packaging, labelling, and manual lifting.
- Operating a finishing machine – TXR in accordance with training and SOP’s.
- Maintain continuous quality control through careful inspection of printed products for clarity and defects.
- Follow all work instructions, procedures, and safety standards at all times.
- Work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Apply strong problem-solving skills to maintain efficiency and resolve issues quickly.
About You
- Prior packing or production experience is an advantage, but not essential.
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks.
- Ability to visually distinguish all colours (essential for label inspection).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to learning.
- A strong focus on safety and following procedures.
- Ability to accurately distinguish colours; applicants must not be colour blind, as colour identification is essential for label inspection.
- Reliable transport and full Australian working rights required.
