The Claims Consultant is responsible for receiving and processing claims, ensuring that claims are paid quickly, accurately and efficiently, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction while exercising control of claim costs. Excellent customer service is a key aspect of this position.]

Manage end-to-end claims processes from lodgement to settlement, ensuring claims are assessed, negotiated, and resolved in line with policy terms, company guidelines, and delegated authority levels.
Deliver exceptional customer service as the primary contact for claims-related enquiries, building strong relationships with brokers, customers, distribution partners, and internal stakeholders.
Drive timely and accurate claims outcomes by reviewing claim liabilities, maintaining accurate reserves, verifying documentation, and resolving issues and complaints effectively.
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance claims processes, systems, and procedures while supporting best-practice claims management.
Support business growth and team capability through industry knowledge sharing, stakeholder engagement, participation in key projects, and promoting a collaborative, customer-focused culture aligned with company values.
Claims & Insurance Expertise – Strong understanding of the Australian general insurance industry, claims management processes, policy interpretation, and risk management principles.
Customer & Broker Relationship Management – Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with brokers, clients, customers, and internal stakeholders while delivering exceptional service.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills – Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate,
Planning, Organisation & Time Management – Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines.
