We are a series of Co-Working Spaces for people of all abilities, regardless of their support needs; with a vision for a world in which work is accessible for all. Our mission is to build a national network of co-working spaces, bringing world-class work, social and learning opportunities to people of all abilities.
Avenue has coworking spaces in Frenchs Forest, Botany, Parramatta and Newcastle where our participants can join work teams, contribute to thriving microbusinesses and share in the profits, and exercise choice in which social events and activities they access in the community.
Currently supporting more than 420 people with disability, Avenue is empowered by Fighting Chance and inspired by the vision that people with disability have unbridled access to opportunity, dignity and prosperity as part of a truly inclusive economy.
THE ROLE:
The Avenue General Manager (AGM) is the strategic and operational lead, providing day-to-day leadership presence, while driving the innovation and growth agenda of this social enterprise. Reporting directly to the CEO, the AGM oversees the management of four existing Co-Working Spaces.
The AGM works closely with the CEO, Avenue Operations Development Manager (AODM), Fighting Chance (FC) Shared Services partners and in support of Hub Managers and leadership teams to ensure that the Avenue Enterprise delivers a high quality service to participants in line with the Avenue operating model.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

A relevant qualification and 5+ years previous experience of proven leadership experience in business operations, ideally within a non-profit, charity, or purpose-led environment.
- Strong management skills along with demonstrated capability overseeing a large complex business operation that is very heavily dependent the outputs of a large and diverse workforce
- Problem Solving: a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to manage complex intersecting priorities in a resource-constrained environment
- A track record of managing and coaching a diverse team to achieve successful results, with the ability to set clear expectations, foster collaboration, and support staff with varied needs
- Demonstrated excellence in building and maintaining stakeholder relationships, and the ability to influence and work collaboratively with all internal stakeholders, external organisations, funding bodies and government agencies
- Financial Literacy - strong working knowledge of non profit budgeting, and funding/grant reporting practices
- A passion for working with people with disability and total commitment to the values, behaviour and culture of Avenue and Fighting Chance
REQUIREMENTS:

Possess the right to work in Australia
- Travel regularly to Avenue operational sites
- Possess a current satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening check and Working With Children Check
- Possess a current unrestricted NSW driver's license
