How this position will make a difference to the City of Parramatta
This position is responsible for assisting the Events & Festivals Team in the delivery of entertainment and public event experiences for the City of Parramatta. This is achieved through supporting the annual program by delivering high quality events that foster positive reputation and outcomes for the City of Parramatta.
On a daily basis you will:
- Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of Council events and festivals in line with Council policies and guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with Project Leads, Team Leaders, and the Events & Festivals Manager to deliver high-quality community events.
- Coordinate event-related projects, stakeholder requests, partnerships, and business relationships with internal and external customers.
- Provide on-the-ground operational support at events, including occasional after-hours and weekend work.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and maintain strong relationships with community organisations, contractors, and event partners

About You
The successful candidate should have previous demonstrated understanding of events and related functions.
You will also bring:
- Tertiary qualifications (min Cert III) in Event Management or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Events role.
- Class C motor vehicle driver’s licence.
- Experience supporting the planning and delivery of events, festivals or community programs.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively and appropriately communicate with a diverse client group at all levels and act professionally and with discretion.
Awareness of and sensitivity to cultural diversity.

What’s on offer
We are offering a full-time term contract opportunity for up 12 months, with an attractive remuneration from $91,365.95 to $100,642.13 plus 12% superannuation.
