HSE Co-ordinator

Dandenong (VIC), Australia | req31325

Join BOC and play a vital role in keeping people and operations safe. Reporting to the HSE Manager VIC/TAS/SA, the HSE Coordinator is based at our Cryocentre Dandenong South facility and works across Victoria and Tasmania, partnering with major hazard facilities and operational teams to deliver safe, compliant, and high-performing workplaces. You’ll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact - helping protect our people, customers and communities while shaping safety outcomes in a critical industrial environment.

What you will enjoy doing

Support safety performance across Major Hazard Facilities (MHF)
Monitor and review critical safety controls
Conduct risk assessments and support hazard identification activities
Assist in the development and maintenance of Safety Cases
Partner with site teams to embed safe work practices
Support MHF audits and regulatory interactions
Ensure compliance with legislation, permits, and approvals
Contribute to continuous improvement of HSE systems and processes

What makes you great

At least 3 years’ experience in HSE, ideally within chemical, manufacturing, FMCG, or similar environments
Relevant tertiary qualifications in science, engineering, or a related discipline (preferred), with formal HSE qualification or equivalent experience
Strong understanding of risk management, safety systems, and regulatory compliance
Experience in incident investigation methodologies (e.g. ICAM, MORT, Causal Tree) desirable
Audit experience, with Lead Auditor certification (ISO9001 and/or HSE) desirable
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence operational teams
Willingness to travel across Victoria and Tasmania and an understanding of the legislative requirements
