Dental Assistant – Join Our Growing Dental Team

iHuman Dental | Blacktown Area

iHuman Dental is a new and modern dental practice committed to providing high-quality, compassionate dental care. We are seeking a warm, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive practice where you will work closely with our dentist, assist in delivering excellent patient care, and contribute to the smooth operation of our clinic.

About the Role

As a Dental Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting our clinical team and ensuring a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

Provide chairside assistance to the dentist, ensuring patient comfort and efficient treatment flow
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures
Assist with dental procedures, including mixing materials and supporting clinical requirements
Coordinate patient flow, including welcoming, escorting, and preparing patients for treatment
Maintain high standards of infection prevention and control
Perform sterilisation, instrument processing, and validation of sterilisation cycles
Maintain surgery cleanliness, changeover procedures, equipment, and stock levels
Assist with stock control and laboratory coordination
Support radiography procedures and digital dental workflows (if qualified)
Complete clinical documentation and basic computer/data entry tasks
Assist with patient enquiries, appointment scheduling, and general practice support when required
Follow Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements and report hazards or incidents promptly

About You

You are a reliable and enthusiastic team member with a genuine passion for patient care. You bring:

Certificate III in Dental Assisting (preferred)
Previous dental assisting experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Professional presentation and a friendly approach
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
Confidence using computers and dental software
High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and patient care
Initiative, reliability, punctuality, and willingness to learn
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Desirable Skills

Sterilisation qualification or experience
First Aid qualification
Reception experience or willingness to be cross-trained in front desk duties
