About the Role
The Redevelopment ICT Program Manager leads the ICT portfolio for the Ballarat Base Hospital Redevelopment and operational commissioning, ensuring delivery on time, within scope and budget, while supporting a positive workplace culture. The role provides ICT expertise and program leadership for the Ballarat Base Hospital Redevelopment (BBHR), working with key stakeholders and Grampians Health staff to understand current healthcare delivery needs and shape future models of care through innovative, contemporary technologies. The role provides expert guidance to the CIO, Director Digital Health Infrastructure, Project Director and project team on project planning, stakeholder engagement, consultant and contractor management, and reporting. It will work with the Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (VIDA Health) to support delivery through advice, facilitation and review as required.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing program/project scope, costs, quality, risks, integration, and benefits realisation.
- Lead Building & Operational commissioning deliverables and teams for the Ballarat Base Hospital Redevelopment project.
- Collaborating with executives, clinicians, Digital Health teams, PMO, corporate services, vendors, consultants, and project partners.
- Providing expert advice and support to the CIO, Director of Digital Health Infrastructure, Digital Health teams, and project teams.
- Overseeing project planning, stakeholder engagement, client relationship management, consultant and contractor management, and project reporting.
- Working closely with Technology program manager and ICT EMR Program Manager to coordinate dependencies and manage overlaps across technology programs.
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Extensive experience leading large-scale Digital Health, ICT, or technology transformation programs, ideally within healthcare or other regulated environments.
- Proven track record delivering technology solutions within capital works, infrastructure, or organisational transformation projects.
- Experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, vendors, and partners.
- Strong knowledge of Digital Health and ICT environments, including infrastructure, applications, platforms, integration, and operational readiness.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of IT facilities management, including Data Centres, Cabling, Networking and System infrastructure.
- Expertise in project/program management, governance, risk management, financial control, and vendor management.
- Ability to develop and evaluate business cases, tenders, procurement, and contract documentation.
- Strong strategic planning, project planning, and organisational skills.
- Project Management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum is highly desirable.
