Branch Manager - Security
We are seeking a Branch Manager to lead our Seven Hills Security Branch.
Reporting to the NSW State Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the branch. This is a hands-on role focused on leading a customer service, counter sales and branch support team, ensuring high service standards, operational effectiveness and a positive team culture.
This is a varied and collaborative role where you'll lead the branch team, deliver exceptional customer service and support customer growth through strong branch execution and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Your key focus areas will include:
Branch Leadership
- Lead, coach and develop the branch team to deliver exceptional customer service and operational outcomes.
- Foster a positive, accountable and customer-focused culture through effective leadership and performance management.
- Recruit, onboard and develop team members.
- Support ongoing employee development through product, systems and customer service training.
- Actively participate in daily branch operations, including trade counter, customer service and customer support activities.
- Monitor branch performance metrics including service levels, backorders, order activity and workflow effectiveness, supporting branch objectives and continuous improvement.
Customer Service & Sales Support
- Lead a high-performing customer service and counter sales team, ensuring a consistent and professional customer experience.
- Act as the primary escalation point for customer, operational and account-related issues.
- Serve as the key branch contact for Sales, Sales Operations, Purchasing, Credit and Operations teams.
- Build strong relationships with customers, vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Support internal and external sales teams through customer service, account support, quotations, product demonstrations, backorder management and effective branch execution.
- Support sales campaigns, customer programs and promotional activities, ensuring the branch is prepared and aligned with business priorities.
- Ensure the branch remains aligned with national sales initiatives and business priorities
Branch Operations
- Execute national branch, sales support and operational processes, ensuring consistent application and compliance.
- Support the rollout of new initiatives, systems and procedures as directed by national and functional teams.
- Ensure branch processes, service standards, quality expectations and compliance requirements are met.
- Promote a safe working environment and support compliance with company policies and WHS requirements.
- Work closely with the Operations team, National Distribution Centre and other branches to support customer fulfilment and service delivery.
- Manage returns, warranty claims and stock adjustments in accordance with company procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve branch efficiency and customer outcomes.
- Maintain strong supplier and vendor relationships to support product availability and service delivery.
About You
You are a hands-on leader who enjoys building successful teams while delivering outstanding customer outcomes. You will bring:
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, including direct responsibility for a team of 2–3 or more employees for at least 12 months.
- Experience leading a branch, customer service, internal sales or trade-focused team.
- Experience within wholesale distribution, security, electrical, data communications or a related industry.
- A customer-first mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service and building long-term customer relationships.
- Strong operational focus, with the ability to interpret performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
- Strong communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
