About the Role
In this role you will support the existing payroll team to process up to approx. 1,700 employees with fortnightly pay cycles which is a combination of manual and electronic processing. You will need to demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and have previous experience in interpreting awards and agreements.
Responsibilities

Assisting fortnightly pay runs on a timely basis in accordance with the relevant industrial instruments
Assists end to end processing for both permanent and casual employees on EA and Common Law contracts
Manage a broad range of payroll and employee queries and requests in a timely manner while demonstrating expectational customer service
Facilitates the processing of new hires and terminations
Provides assistance with the calculations for tax, deductions, superannuation, Centrelink and Work Cover payments
Supports the delivery of fortnightly payroll reports
Contributes towards resolving complex enquiries, calculations and adjustments
Prepare certificates of service and separation certificates
Maintain accurate and up to date employee records and HRIS systems (Dayforce)
Partner with the HR admin team regarding Dayforce records and employee concerns
Supports HR admin processing as required

Skills and Requirements

Experience with payroll, roster & HR systems
Health or aged care payroll experience (ideally 1-3 years of experience)
Experience in dealing with payroll enquiries
Good understanding of payroll processes and legislation
Attention to detail
Organized
Reliable
Current police check (or willing to obtain)
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Proficient with Microsoft suite and HRIS System (Dayforce)- desirable
Qualifications in Payroll, HR, Finance or similar - desirable
