Monash University is seeking a confident, organised and strategic Events Manager to lead a small, high‑performing team and drive the planning, governance and delivery of major events and strategic projects across our Australian campuses.
You’ll apply your expertise in event delivery, project planning, project management and team leadership to deliver a cohesive program of student‑focused events and initiatives that enhance engagement and campus life. Your leadership and hands‑on delivery will shape how thousands of students experience Monash, fostering connection, belonging and vibrant engagement.
You’ll lead the experience design and strategic planning of a multi‑campus events program informed by contemporary engagement trends and the ways students choose to connect and participate. You’ll blend hands‑on event delivery with sharp project management, driving logistics, budgets, suppliers and risk with confidence and clarity.
Responsibilities span end‑to‑end event and project management, including concept development, planning, delivery, evaluation and reporting. You’ll provide authoritative advice to senior leaders, contribute to policy and process development, oversee data analysis and insights, and build strong partnerships across the University and with external providers to elevate the student experience.
This role suits an experienced events professional who thrives in fast‑paced environments, enjoys leading teams and brings strong project management capability, excellent organisational skills and confidence navigating diverse stakeholder groups. Highly developed communication, relationship management and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities, budgets and high‑volume programming.
