The Opportunity
At Vocus, we're establishing a new process excellence capability to accelerate business transformation through data-driven process improvement. This is to drive data-led process improvement and operational excellence across Vocus. We’re starting with two Process Intelligence Leads to uncover value leakage, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities through process mining, followed by a Business Process Architect to establish the standards, governance and process foundations that enable scalable, enterprise-wide transformation. Together, these roles will help Vocus turn insight into measurable business value.
We're seeking an experienced Business Process Architect based in Melbourne to establish and own Vocus' enterprise process architecture, creating a single, best-practice view of how work flows across our end-to-end value chains.
As a key leader within the Transformation Office, you'll design the process foundations that support major strategic initiatives, including CRM consolidation, sales transformation and improved customer outcomes. Beginning with the Market & Sell value chain, you'll define the standards, governance, ownership models and future-state operating processes that enable Vocus to operate more consistently, efficiently and at scale.
This is a rare opportunity to shape enterprise-wide process architecture from the ground up while influencing some of the most significant transformation programs across the organisation.
What You'll Be Responsible for
As the Business Process Architect, you will:
- Design, maintain and govern Vocus' enterprise process architecture from value chain through to detailed process levels.
- Establish a common process taxonomy, modelling standards and governance framework aligned to industry best practice.
- Leverage frameworks such as TM Forum eTOM and APQC Process Classification Framework (PCF) to create a consistent enterprise process model.
- Develop and maintain a single source of truth for process documentation, standards, ownership and governance.
- Create and manage a process-to-data ownership model that clearly defines accountability across the organisation.
- Define future-state operating models across key business domains, beginning with Market & Sell.
- Design a simplified B2B sales operating model centred on consistent customer, opportunity, quote and contract management.
- Partner closely with CRM and Salesforce transformation programs to ensure process standards drive system design decisions.
- Provide enterprise process governance and architecture oversight across transformation initiatives.
- Coach and mentor analysts, process owners and stakeholders to embed process management disciplines and consistency.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, you'll deliver:
- An approved enterprise process architecture aligned to strategic priorities and industry standards.
- A completed and governed Market & Sell process model.
- Enterprise-wide process modelling standards, methodologies and governance practices.
- A comprehensive process and data ownership register with clear accountability across key domains.
- A future-state B2B sales operating model blueprint that supports CRM consolidation and business simplification.
- Strong adoption of process architecture principles across transformation initiatives and operational teams.
What you’ll bring to the role
You are a strategic thinker who combines architecture discipline with practical transformation experience. You understand how business processes, data ownership, operating models and technology platforms come together to create lasting business value.
- 8+ years' experience in business architecture, process architecture, process design or enterprise transformation within complex organisations.
- Deep expertise in BPMN 2.0 process modelling and enterprise process architecture methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of TM Forum eTOM, APQC Process Classification Framework (PCF) or similar enterprise process frameworks.
- Experience designing and optimising B2B sales, lead-to-cash, customer lifecycle or operational value chain processes.
- Proven experience working closely with CRM platforms, particularly Salesforce-enabled transformation programs.
- Understanding of process ownership, data ownership, governance and operating model design.
- Experience influencing senior leaders and facilitating alignment across business and technology stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Telecommunications, technology or large-scale services industry experience will be highly regarded.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
