Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect with deep expertise in supply chain and manufacturing environments to lead the design and alignment of business and technology capabilities across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will bring strong end-to-end operational business process experience, with the ability to translate business strategy into scalable, integrated, and practical architecture outcomes across complex operational landscapes.
This role requires a strong understanding of core manufacturing and supply chain processes, combined with architecture experience across enterprise platforms and enabling technologies such as Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), 3DX, and SAP CAM. The successful candidate will be capable of bridging business operations, process architecture, applications, data, integration, and technology design to support transformation, optimisation, and operational resilience.
Key Responsibilities
Define and maintain enterprise architecture strategies, standards, and roadmaps across supply chain and manufacturing domains.
Align business capability needs with application, data, integration, and technology architecture decisions.
Provide architecture leadership across transformation initiatives, ensuring solutions are scalable, supportable, and aligned to enterprise objectives.
Develop future-state architecture models and transition roadmaps that support operational improvement and business growth.
Business Process Architecture
Lead architecture discussions across end-to-end operational business processes, including planning, procurement, production, inventory, warehousing, logistics, maintenance, and fulfilment.
Analyse and map current-state and future-state operating models, identifying process gaps, inefficiencies, integration pain points, and optimisation opportunities.
Ensure business process design is supported by fit-for-purpose technology architecture and integrated data flows.
Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure architecture reflects real operational requirements and constraints.
Supply Chain & Manufacturing Domain Expertise
Provide architectural oversight across key manufacturing and supply chain capabilities such as:
Demand and supply planning
Procurement and supplier management
Inventory management
Production planning and execution
Shop floor operations
Quality management
Warehousing and distribution
Asset / maintenance processes
Support harmonisation of business processes across functional and operational teams.
Solution & Technology Architecture
Guide architecture decisions involving enterprise platforms and manufacturing / operational systems, with particular value placed on exposure to:
Ensure robust integration architecture across ERP, PLM, manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and analytics platforms.
Contribute to application rationalisation, platform alignment, and architecture governance.
Partner with delivery, business, and technology teams to drive pragmatic and implementable architecture decisions.
Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
Engage with senior business and technology stakeholders to shape architecture direction and secure alignment across priorities.
Present architecture options, trade-offs, risks, and recommendations in a clear and business-relevant manner.
Participate in governance forums, design authorities, and program architecture reviews.
Provide mentoring and guidance to solution architects, business analysts, and delivery teams.
Required Experience
Proven experience in an Enterprise Architect, Domain Architect, or senior architecture role within manufacturing, industrial, supply chain, or similarly complex operational environments.
Demonstrated experience designing architecture across end-to-end business processes, not just isolated systems or functions.
Strong understanding of operational business processes across supply chain and manufacturing value chains.
Experience linking business architecture, process architecture, application architecture, integration design, and data architecture into coherent enterprise outcomes.
Practical experience working with or around technologies such as Oracle EBS, 3DX, and SAP CAM.
Experience supporting transformation programs involving ERP, manufacturing systems, engineering platforms, or supply chain modernisation.
Strong ability to balance strategic architecture thinking with pragmatic delivery considerations.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams.
Ability to communicate complex architecture concepts in a clear, concise, and business-friendly way.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on business value and operational outcomes.

Preferred Experience
Exposure to manufacturing environments with strong dependencies between engineering, planning, production, logistics, and sustainment / support functions.
Experience in large-scale enterprise transformation or modernisation programs.
Experience working in highly governed, regulated, or operationally critical environments.
Familiarity with architecture governance, roadmap development, and design assurance processes.
Experience with integration patterns supporting interoperability across ERP, PLM, MES, supply chain, and reporting platforms.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Business, or a related discipline.
Enterprise architecture certifications or relevant architecture framework experience are advantageous.
Relevant industry or platform certifications are desirable.
