We are seeking an Architectural Graduate to join our team and contribute to the design, documentation, coordination and delivery of architectural projects across a range of project phases.
Working under the guidance of a Senior Project Architect or Project Architect, you will contribute to project teams, develop packages of work and continue to build your design, technical and project delivery capability within a collaborative architectural practice.
The Role
As an Architectural Graduate, you will:
- Provide design, documentation, coordination and project delivery support across assigned project phases.
- Contribute to architectural design concepts and schematic designs in response to project briefs.
- Assist with detailed design development and the resolution of architectural, technical and material requirements.
- Prepare accurate architectural drawings, documentation, specifications and schedules.
- Coordinate project documentation and assist with the integration of consultant and specialist information.
- Consider relevant Australian Standards, the National Construction Code and applicable planning and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to design discussions and the exploration of innovative architectural solutions.
- Assist with communication and liaison with clients, consultants, builders and other key stakeholders.
- Monitor allocated tasks and provide clear and timely progress updates to the Senior Project Architect or Project Architect.
- Develop packages of work to agreed scope, timeframes, quality and accuracy requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the broader architecture, interiors and project delivery teams while also demonstrating initiative and independent problem-solving.
- Participate in professional development, continuous learning and the ongoing improvement of project and practice processes.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Master of Architecture or equivalent tertiary qualification.
- A commitment to, or be working towards, architectural registration within the relevant practising state.
- Demonstrated design and technical aptitude, with the ability to contribute to architectural projects from concept through to documentation.
- Revit proficiency, with experience using Enscape for architectural modelling, documentation and real-time visualisation.
- Experience using Rhino and V-Ray for 3D modelling, massing and architectural visualisation.
- Experience using Grasshopper for parametric modelling and environmental analysis, particularly solar access, sunlight and design-performance studies.
- Experience using Affinity Suite for architectural reports, layouts, diagrams and graphic presentations.
- Experience with AI rendering and image enhancement tools to improve architectural visualisations, including material realism, lighting, planting and overall image quality while maintaining the original architectural design.
- Experience using Corona Renderer to produce completed architectural visualisations and rendered outputs.
- Intermediate proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant graphic or visualisation software.
- Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, National Construction Code and local planning regulations.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet agreed project timeframes.
- Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to communicate ideas, issues and solutions effectively.
- The ability to work collaboratively while also taking initiative and progressing tasks independently with appropriate support.
- A positive, adaptable and professional approach to varied project challenges.
- A willingness to learn, seek feedback and actively develop professional and technical capabilities.
- Mandarin language proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin in a professional context.
Desirable
- Previous full-time experience in a medium to large architectural practice in a similar role and capacity.
- Experience working with Mandarin-speaking clients, consultants or other stakeholders.
- Experience across multiple project stages, including concept design, schematic design, detailed design and construction documentation.
