About the role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a VPS5 ICT Product Specialist within the Investigation, Brief & Legal Product Management Team, part of the Intelligence, Investigation & Analytics Domain in Information, Communications & Digital Technology. The role supports the ongoing operation, maintenance and enhancement of critical digital products used by Victoria Police for investigations, brief management, court processes and related operational functions.
Reporting through the IBL Product Management Team, the position works closely with business stakeholders, ICT delivery teams, support partners and external vendors to coordinate service delivery, resolve issues, support enhancements and ensure product outcomes align with operational needs and organisational governance requirements.
The successful applicant will contribute to a diverse and business-critical application portfolio, including operational readiness, incident and risk management, vendor coordination, service improvement activities and change initiatives that support frontline policing, investigations and legal/court-facing processes.

Your duties will include:
- Coordinate day-to-day product support activities across the Investigation, Brief, & Legal application portfolio, including issue management, service coordination and continuous improvement.
- Work with business stakeholders, ICT delivery teams and vendors to understand priorities, resolve service issues and support enhancements that improve reliability, operational outcomes and alignment with governance requirements.
- Contribute product and business context to requirements clarification, solution design discussions, testing coordination, operational readiness and transition-to-support planning.
- Support incident, risk, change and governance processes by preparing clear updates, maintaining documentation, monitoring issues and escalating risks or decisions through appropriate channels.
- Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders, support partners and vendors to ensure digital products continue to meet operational, evidentiary and court-facing needs.
About You:
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated experience supporting ICT products, business-critical applications or operational systems in a complex service delivery environment, with an understanding of service ownership, operational readiness and ongoing product improvement.
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, build trusted relationships and translate operational priorities into practical service, support or delivery outcomes.
- Strong organisational skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities, risks and issues with accountability, clear communication and timely escalation.
- Experience working with vendors, support partners and cross-functional teams to coordinate activities, resolve service issues, support change and contribute to continuous improvement.
- An adaptable and collaborative approach, with a willingness to learn, share knowledge, support others and contribute positively to an inclusive and high-performing team environment.

- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- This position is attached to the Investigation, Brief & Legal Product Management Team within the Intelligence, Investigation & Analytics Domain.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
