About Us

Youngster.co is a social enterprise startup with a purpose. We believe in the power of community and technology to bridge generational gaps.

The Youngster.co program brings young people and seniors together in shopping centres, libraries, community centres, and other locations for intergenerational tech help sessions. Youngsters provide personalised tech help for seniors, including how to use their phone, do video calls, connect on social media, etc.

Location & Schedule

This role is for our program at:

Mt. Ommaney Shopping Centre (171 Dandenong Rd, Mount Ommaney QLD 4074, Australia) Thursdays, weekly from 10AM-12PM

What You'll Do

Sit alongside seniors and help them with everyday tech questions from smartphones, tablets, video calls, social media, and more
Build genuine rapport and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere where seniors feel comfortable and confident
Explain things in simple, friendly language — no tech jargon or complex tech concepts
Share ideas and feedback to help us keep improving our sessions

Who We're Looking For
This role is first and foremost for people who are:

Naturally warm, social, and patient
Genuinely interested in older people's stories, experiences, and lives
Knowledgeable with everyday tech (smartphones, tablets, basic computers) and familiar with Android or iOS systems
Comfortable communicating with other people

Requirements

Aged 18 or over
Valid National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one)
Located within 10–15 km of Mt Ommaney Shopping Centre
Commitment to Youngster.co's mission of intergenerational connection
