About the role
Our Conservation & Aboriginal Partnerships branch is currently seeking to appoint two Project Officer, Land Acquisitions to support the acquisition, management and establishment of land that contributes to the growth and protection of NSW's national parks and conservation estate.
In this diverse and rewarding role, you will work within the Assessments and Acquisitions Unit to coordinate and deliver land acquisition and dealing projects that support government conservation priorities. You will provide specialist advice on land tenure and cadastral matters, manage property due diligence processes, coordinate external consultants and legal representatives, prepare reports and briefings, and maintain critical records and information systems. Working with a collaborative and highly experienced team, you will engage with a broad range of stakeholders while contributing to the protection of NSW's unique natural and cultural heritage for future generations.
About You
- Demonstrated experience coordinating and delivering complex projects within established timeframes and budgets.
- Knowledge of land acquisition processes, property transactions, land tenure, cadastral information or related property and planning disciplines.
- Experience researching, analysing and interpreting information to provide recommendations and support informed decision making.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build productive relationships across government, industry and community groups.
- Experience preparing high-quality reports, briefing notes, correspondence and project documentation.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, identify risks and implement practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
- Experience using corporate systems, databases and spatial information systems (GIS) to support project delivery will be highly regarded.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in project management, property, planning, environmental management, geography, law or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
