About the Role
Are you an experienced hands-on Service Technician looking for a role where safety, service, and technical skill matter?
As the ‘Face of GVR AU’ based in Bendigo, Victoria, you are accountable for pro-active servicing, first time fix and repairs across GVR products on customer sites. You will also complete general maintenance of products, changing equipment and making minor adjustments as needed to the pump, nozzle and any other product part.
What you will do (Responsibilities)
- Field Operations work: successfully completing a variety of product breakdown and repair jobs as well as any other associated service jobs/tasks across customer sites in Bendigo and surrounding areas.
- Calibration of pumps & testing: checking, troubleshooting and testing the pumps to ensure that the fluid coming from the pumps matches the amount on the display. Assisting in testing activities of fuel systems & pumps.
- Field Operations job documentation: completion of all job completion associated documentation (service report, safety documents, etc).
- 100% commitment to safety: working safely on the customer site, acting as a representative of Gilbarco Veeder – Root to customers.
- Works with a safety mindset and acts with integrity; you’re consistently focused on keeping yourself and other safe, using sound judgement and operating with transparency and trust
What You’ll Bring
- Secondary Education or equivalent (completion of Higher School education), Trade Qualification
- 1-3 years of relevant industry experience
- Experience within the Service Industry
- Valid Driver’s license
- Strong experience working with various tools, machinery and MHE
- Mechanically minded with developed fault finding skills
- Pro-active, process & detail oriented, communication skills
- Solid prioritization, time & stakeholder management skills
Working Environments
- Field-based role requiring regular travel to customer sites in Bendigo and surrounding areas, including service stations, truck stops, and commercial fueling locations, using a company-provided vehicle.
- A strong commitment to safety, including the use of PPE, the ability to work independently, and professional communication with customers and site staff are essential.
- Work is primarily outdoors and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions.
