Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced
WHS Coordinator to join our Support Office in Ryde. This is a
full-time, office-based role, Monday to Friday.
This is a fast-paced role where you will coordinate workers' compensation claims across our network of centres, partnering with operational leaders, Marsh and external providers to deliver positive outcomes for both our employees and the business.
About the Role
You will be responsible for coordinating the full workers' compensation and injury management process from the initial notification of an injury through to a successful return to work. Working closely with Centre Directors, Area Managers, Marsh, injured employees and medical professionals, you will ensure claims are managed efficiently while providing exceptional support throughout the employee's recovery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating workers' compensation claims from injury notification through to claim closure.
- Acting as the primary liaison between Little Zak's Academy and Marsh to ensure claims progress efficiently.
- Working closely with Centre Directors and operational leaders to support injured employees throughout the claims process.
- Coordinating suitable duties and return to work plans in consultation with employees, managers and treating practitioners.
- Monitoring claim progress and following up outstanding actions to minimise delays.
- Ensuring all incident reports, claim documentation and medical certificates are completed accurately and submitted on time.
- Maintaining regular communication with injured employees to support their recovery and return to work.
- Liaising with rehabilitation providers, medical professionals and other external stakeholders.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records of workers' compensation claims and injury management activities.
- Preparing reports on claim status, injury trends, return to work outcomes and key performance indicators.
- Identifying opportunities to improve injury management processes and reduce claim duration.
- Providing guidance and support to leaders on workers' compensation and injury management processes.
- Ensuring compliance with NSW workers' compensation legislation, company policies and return to work obligations.

About you
You are organised, proactive and compassionate, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders while delivering outstanding service. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy building strong working relationships to achieve positive outcomes.
To be successful, you will have:
- Previous experience in workers' compensation, injury management, return to work, HR, WHS or insurance claims.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate confidential records.
- Experience working with insurers, brokers or claims administrators. Experience working with Marsh will be highly regarded.
- Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to manage sensitive situations professionally.
- Knowledge of NSW workers' compensation legislation and return to work practices is highly desirable.
- Return to Work Coordinator certification is advantageous but not essential.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
