What You’ll Do as a Senior/Associate Transmission Lines Engineer

Deliver innovative engineering solutions across the overhead transmission and distribution sector, with additional contributions to generation and industrial HV projects.

Lead end‑to‑end transmission line design projects, demonstrating strong technical capability and project leadership.

Apply expert knowledge of Australian and international standards relating to transmission line design, testing, and commissioning.

Use PLS-CADD, including TOWER and POLE modules, with a high level of proficiency.

Understand and contribute across the full lifecycle of transmission assets—from planning and concept design through construction, operation, and maintenance.

Mentor and support junior engineers, driving technical development and fostering a collaborative, high‑performance team culture.

Build and maintain strong client relationships to support project delivery and identify new opportunities.

Provide technical and operational support to clients, offering recommendations that enhance performance, safety, innovation, and sustainability.

Comply with all Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) requirements and uphold professional standards at all times.

About You
-
Degree‑qualified in Electrical, Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.

Demonstrated experience in a technical consulting or engineering delivery role; experience with design management is an advantage.

Strong electrical and/or structural engineering capability in Transmission Lines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels and with external stakeholders.

Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software tools.

Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines.

Commercially aware with a mature understanding of business drivers and client expectations.

Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working in dynamic, fast‑evolving project environments.
