Your future role - Service Maintainer - OVH
Take on a new challenge and apply your Electrical & Mechanical expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to the Senior Superintendent, and work alongside a close-knit team that support our QNGR project, based at Wulkuraka, QLD. You'll play a critical role in performing key overhaul activities while also taking part in preventative and corrective maintenance, fault finding, rectification & post work testing, damage and vandalism rectification works, as well as perform project upgrades and modification works on the NGR fleet of trains as required/directed. We have a several opportunities available, which will initially be 24 month fulltime contracts, with potential to transition to permanent.
We’ll look to you for:
- Performing all manner of key overhauls to the vehicle and sub systems.
- Performing fault diagnosis, identification and rectification on electrical / mechanical systems of the vehicle.
- Performing damage and vandalism repairs as required, including data capture and effective use of the SAP/GSI/SES systems.
- Liaising with the Technical Specialists / ISST teams in order to ensure repairs are actioned with no impact to in service performance.
- Assist in the identification and production of vehicle modification programs to improve reliability and maintainability.
- Performing post work testing and validation as necessary.
- Building positive relationships with drivers and the Operator in order to support a successful fleet operation.
- Updating the Maintenance Management System with all work carried out.

- Cert III Electrotechnology or equivalent / Cert III Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- A current QLD Electrical Licence or the ability to obtain (electrical candidates).
