Description:
We are currently seeking a self-motivated and resourceful Heavy Duty Fitter to join our team on site at Woodie Woodie.
Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent, the successful applicants will be required to:
- Conduct maintenance activities to the mining and support vehicle fleet, consisting predominantly of Caterpillar and Komatsu equipment.
- Apply OEM maintenance practices, procedures and information to required maintenance activities.
- Conducting workshop maintenance and maintaining high housekeeping standards in work areas.
- Diagnosing and repairing machines/equipment in both a workshop and field environment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems when required.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Minimum C class drivers’ licence
- Current National Police Clearance (No older than 6 months)
- Heavy Duty Plant Mechanic Trade Certificate
- Ability to understand and interpret OEM manuals and hydraulic/ pneumatic
- Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Product knowledge of Caterpillar (6020B, D10T, 16M & 777G) and Komatsu (PC1250, PC2000) equipment
- Strong commitment to following health, safety and environment policies and procedures
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
