The purpose of the Client Executive (Planning) role is to support the client team in the planning and implementation of client campaigns.

This role supports the development of communication plans and the management of digital campaigns from buying and implementation through to reporting and the delivery of insights that drive performance for clients.

The Client Executive (Planning) ensures strong attention to detail across all aspects of their work and takes responsibility for accuracy and any errors that occur.

Your scope will include:

Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and relevant external partners, including media owners and partner agencies, to support client and Spark business objectives.
Develop strong knowledge of client products, target audiences, communication strategies, and key messages.
Research historical brand and campaign activity to understand performance outcomes and strategic direction.
Build understanding of client category landscapes, consumer behaviour, and marketplace trends.
Collaborate with internal teams and the Senior Planning Executive / Client Manager to develop effective cross-channel communication plans.
Actively contribute to internal and external WIP meetings, raising potential issues early and proactively supporting resolution.

Implement campaigns with high attention to quality, including:

Supporting the development and execution of communication and media plans across digital and cross-channel campaigns
Assisting with campaign buying, implementation, and coordination processes
Ensuring accuracy across campaign inputs and supporting quality control of deliverables
Supporting reporting preparation, including collation of data and basic performance reporting
Assisting in the delivery of insights and performance summaries for client campaigns
Monitoring campaign activity and escalating issues proactively where required
Contributing to campaign optimisation discussions under guidance from senior team members
Ensuring all campaign work is delivered accurately, on time, and to a high standard

Internal:

Reports to: Senior Planning Executive / Client Manager
Key contacts: Client Manager, Head of Planning, Trading Team, Digital Activation Team, Data & Analytics Team, Finance and HR

External:

Media owners
External media partners and suppliers
Partner agencies
Industry bodies and platforms

Commercial:

Support accurate implementation of media plans within approved budgets
Assist in monitoring campaign spend and budget alignment
Ensure accuracy in inputs that support invoicing and reconciliation processes
Maintain awareness of commercial implications across campaign delivery
Support financial accuracy in reporting and administration tasks

People:

Build strong working relationships across internal teams and external partners
Communicate clearly, professionally, and proactively with stakeholders
Demonstrate accountability and reliability in day-to-day execution
Contribute positively to team collaboration and culture
Actively participate in WIP meetings and ensure issues are raised early
Manage upwards effectively and seek support when required

Strong organisational and time management skills
High attention to detail and accuracy across all planning and execution tasks
Basic understanding of digital media and communication planning principles
Developing analytical mindset with ability to interpret campaign data
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

Basic understanding of the Australian media and advertising landscape
