About the role

As our next Mining Coordinator reporting to the Mining Supervisor, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality production solutions and results within the mine site. The role requires you to effectively manage the mining operational personnel and ensure the timely execution of the mine plan in a safe and efficient manner.

Our Olive Downs Complex Project is situated in Moranbah, Central Queensland.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

Assist the Mining Supervisor with leading a mining crew to deliver production results in a safe and efficient manner.
Carry out effective inspection and reporting processes in accordance with relevant site policies and procedures
Co-ordination of production operators and equipment to deliver the production schedule in line with weekly plan.
Conduct mining practices to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Actively seek continuous improvement.
Assist with incident investigations within area of responsibility.

About you

To be considered for this role you are required to have:

Previous experience as a leading hand in an open-cut coal mining environment is highly regarded.
A solid understanding of the processes involved with open cut coal mining.
Good organisational, communication and presentation skills coupled with approachable and motivational qualities.
Proven leadership experience and people management skills is essential
Qualifications that support your experience and success within the coal mining industry.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Current Coal Board Medical, Standard 11, S123 and G2
