About the role
This is not your usual payroll position – every day will not be the same. You'll be joining a dynamic and evolving People Experience team where you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact across the organisation. Beyond delivering accurate and compliant payroll services, you'll be involved in process improvement initiatives, payroll projects, systems enhancement, reporting, compliance activities, and partnering with stakeholders across the business.
Reporting to the National Payroll Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end payroll operations while contributing to continuous improvement and best-practice payroll processes. This role is ideal for a payroll professional who enjoys variety, thrives on solving problems, and wants to be part of a purpose-driven organisation where innovation and collaboration are valued.
From managing payroll processing, superannuation, reconciliations and compliance requirements to supporting payroll and HR system projects, you'll have the opportunity to broaden your expertise and influence positive outcomes for employees across the organisation. About you
You are an experienced payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about accuracy, compliance, and customer service
- Minimum 4 years experience in payroll , ideally within the disability, community services, or related sector.
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, taxation, awards, and employment conditions.
- Experience managing multiple payroll cycles and high-volume payroll processing.
- Experience liaising with the ATO, Centrelink/Child Support Agency, and superannuation clearing houses.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and payroll systems experience (Micropay experience highly regarded).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to process improvement and best-practice payroll operations.
