Being located close to James Cook University, we benefit from a constant flow of new graduate veterinarians, creating a vibrant learning environment filled with fresh ideas and enthusiasm. About the Role
This is a full-time Veterinary Nurse position offering variety, challenge, and the opportunity to utilise your nursing skills every day.
Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting veterinarians during consultations and procedures

Surgical preparation and theatre assistance
-
Anaesthetic monitoring and patient recovery
-
Dental procedures and radiography
-
Collecting and processing pathology samples
-
Administering medications and treatments
-
Hospital patient care and monitoring
-
Providing support and education to clients
-
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control
-
Assisting with day-to-day clinic operations and workflow

About You
You're a confident, capable nurse who loves being hands-on and delivering outstanding care.
You'll bring:

Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing

Minimum 3 years' clinical nursing experience

Strong skills in general nursing and anaesthetic monitoring

Excellent communication and client care skills

A positive attitude and reliable work ethic

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

A collaborative, team-first approach
