Description:
Technical resource to help uplift endpoint security and Essential Eight maturity across Deloitte's enterprise environment, with hands-on influence over controls, tooling and emerging AI risk.
Tackle big issues like cyber, trust, resilience and digital transformation
Mentoring, coaching and leadership programs to help you make an impact that matters
Join our Cyber Operations team as a Cyber Security Engineer and help strengthen the security of the platforms and services our people rely on every day in a hybrid work model.
What will your typical day look like?
Much of your work will centre on improving endpoint security across server and workstation environments, with a strong focus on ASD Essential Eight uplift, secure configuration baselines, application control and device hardening. You'll also work hands-on with tools and controls across DLP, proxy and AV, helping make sure security measures are practical, effective and embedded into day-to-day operations.
Working closely with infrastructure, cloud, end-user computing and identity teams, you'll help design and implement control improvements that strengthen Deloitte's security posture. That includes supporting incident response activities, improving threat detection capability, and contributing to decisions around network segmentation, policy enforcement and risk reduction across enterprise platforms.
Drive automation across Cyber Operations by identifying manual, repetitive activities and implementing scalable solutions using scripting, APIs, and orchestration tools. You'll help improve detection, response, vulnerability management, reporting, and system administration processes, enabling the team to focus on higher-value security activities.
This is a role for someone who enjoys both depth and variety. Alongside technical implementation, you'll help shape documentation, standards and runbooks, while also contributing to emerging areas like AI security, including risks linked to data leakage, API integrations and the use of AI platforms.
