The Role
As a Registered Nurse in our Community Health team, you'll provide high-quality, person-centred care while working collaboratively with a supportive multidisciplinary team. Where you'll be working
Prince of Wales Hospital and Community Health Service is a Level 6 Tertiary Referral Hospital with an inpatient bed base of 370. Each year we care for more than 70,000 patients in our Emergency Department and have around 50,000 admissions to the inpatient units. POWH offers an outpatient service and rural outreach service and provides more than 900,000 occasions of non-admitted patient care each year, including innovative virtual models of care. We have transitioned the majority of inpatient units and wards to the Acute Services Building (ASB) including a state of the art Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit. POWH provides an exceptional staff experience and enhanced patient and family outcomes as a result of the provision of person-centred care.

Selection criteria
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible.
- Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse/ Midwife. Current NSW Drivers Licence.
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse/ Midwife that applies to aged care nursing in either the acute or community settings.
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and be able to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
- Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
- Current computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems, and a commitment to working in a mobile computer environment.
- Demonstrated experience in comprehensive assessment of client.
- Demonstrated application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking to patient care.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own workload, working independently as a member of a multidisciplinary team
