PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

This position contributes to the operational effectiveness of Water Services by supporting the development, maintenance and application of the
Drinking Water Quality Management System and is responsible for water compliance activities across both urban and remote communities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The “WHAT” to be delivered

Functional
• Responsible for the coordination and implementation of the Drinking Water Quality Management System by the business unit, covering areas of

policy, system administration, risk reporting and communication, undertaking periodic assurance checks

Responsible for developing the three-year Safe and Secure Strategy and annual Safe and Secure Water Implementation Plan with internal

stakeholders and monitoring and reporting implementation progress.

Coordinate the preparation, approval and publication of the annual Drinking Water Quality Report, develop and deliver improved reporting of

drinking water quality to customers as required.

Contribute to the management, and establishment of relevant water supply service agreements including non-potable and recycled water,

undertaking periodic reviews of compliance with terms of the agreements

Contribute to the management of water licencing and responsibility for associated compliance reporting obligations in consultation with internal

subject matter experts

Maintain relationships with water regulators including NT Health through coordination of regular meetings to inform compliance activities and

strategic directions

Responsible for coordination of the Memorandum of Understanding between Power and Water, NT Health and Indigenous Essential Services

for Drinking Water and compliance with relevant legislation as it evolves
