As a leading Hydraulic hose and fitting provider we are always on the look out for people to join our team to keep up with demands of our thriving business! This role is ultimately about providing a high-quality multi-product install, repair and maintenance service to a diverse range of customers.
Based in our branch, there is loads of variety in this role and as an In House Hydraulic Hose Technician you will get the opportunity to learn about lots of different areas of our business! Not only will you be working on all sorts of mechanical equipment but you will also be assisting with counter sales, helping in our warehouse, preparing orders, accepting deliveries and much more!
At heart you will have a love of fixing things along with a desire to provide our customers with an exceptional level of service.

About the person
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Knowledge of hydraulic hoses and fittings
- Previous experience with Pronto (advantageous)
- Effective communicator
- Confident in dealing with clients in our branch and building trusted relationships

Skills and Experiences:
- Minimum of one year's experience in an industrial or mechanical environment
- Experience with hydraulic hose and fittings is preferred but not essential
- A relevant trade or tertiary qualification in mechanics, engineering, or a related field is preferred, or a minimum of one years' experience in a field service technician role, ideally within the hydraulics industry
- Minimum Hydraulink Certificate of Competency
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with common hand tools
- Ability to assemble and crimp hydraulic hose assemblies to specification
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, fittings, and components
- Ability to understand, diagnose, and troubleshoot hydraulic systems
- Stock management and identification of correct products
- Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Full New Zealand Class 1 Driver Licence
- Physically fit and able to safely lift up to 25 kg
- Effectively use digital technologies, mobile applications, AI tools, and new systems to improve productivity, customer service, and work efficiency
- Ability to increase revenue through sound account and customer development skills
- Adaptability/Flexibility: Maintaining productivity when experiencing changes in work tasks or the work environment
- Attention to Detail: Able to 'zoom in' to detail quickly and accurately
- Interpersonal/Problem Solving: Considers all relevant perspectives and facilitates understanding
