Torque Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Motor Mechanic / Automotive Technician to join our team in Campbellfield, in Melbourne’s northern suburbs.
The successful applicant will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, servicing and repairing a range of light vehicles. This is a hands-on workshop role suitable for a qualified mechanic with practical experience in vehicle servicing, fault diagnosis and mechanical repairs.
Duties
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in motor vehicles.
Carry out logbook servicing, general repairs and preventative maintenance.
Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering and other vehicle components.
Use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment to identify vehicle issues.
Inspect vehicles and ensure work is completed safely and to industry standards.
Maintain accurate service records and job notes.
Keep the workshop area clean, safe and organised.
Requirements
Relevant automotive mechanical qualification, such as Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Motor Mechanic, Automotive Technician or similar.
Ability to diagnose and repair a range of light vehicles.
Good understanding of workshop safety procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Current driver licence preferred.
