We’re looking for an experienced Systems Engineer who has built a solid technical foundation and is ready to take the next step in their career. Working from our North Sydney office, you’ll join a supportive, collaborative team where you’ll have the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers, take ownership of customer environments and play a key role in delivering exceptional IT solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Systems Engineer, you’ll be involved in both day-to-day technical support and project delivery across a broad range of customer environments.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Providing Level 2/3 technical support for a diverse client base.
· Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues across Microsoft environments.
· Supporting and maintaining Windows Server, Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
· Assisting with infrastructure, cloud and migration projects.
· Managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and virtualisation platforms.
· Supporting networking technologies including switches, firewalls, wireless and VPN solutions.
· Performing proactive maintenance, monitoring and system health checks.
· Working closely with customers to provide outstanding service and technical advice.
· Creating and maintaining technical documentation.
· Identifying opportunities to improve, automate and modernise customer environments.
· Collaborating with senior engineers and continually expanding your technical capability.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is technically capable, customer focused and eager to continue learning.
You’ll ideally have:
· Around 4-5 years’ experience within a Managed Services (MSP) or Professional Services environment.
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server and Active Directory.
· Experience supporting Azure environments or a genuine desire to develop your cloud expertise.
· Good understanding of networking, virtualisation and backup technologies.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· A proactive attitude with a passion for learning new technologies.
· Experience with PowerShell or automation tools would be an advantage.
· Exposure to AI tools and an interest in using technology to improve efficiency will be highly regarded.
Microsoft certifications (or a willingness to achieve them) are desirable but not essential.
