About the Role
Reporting to the Production Supervisors, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining all areas of the processing plant while demonstrating a strong commitment to safety, operational excellence and team performance.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain a safe working environment and actively promote a strong safety culture.
Monitor plant performance against production plans, identify variances and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
Coordinate with maintenance teams to support planned maintenance schedules, shutdowns and breakdown response activities.
Conduct operational inspections and pre-start checks, ensuring equipment and consumables are available and ready for operation.
Troubleshoot plant process issues and take appropriate action to optimise performance.
Complete assigned operational tasks safely, efficiently and in a timely manner.
Participate in cross-departmental activities and support site operational requirements as needed.
Ensure accurate end-of-shift reporting and provide comprehensive handovers to incoming crews.
Actively contribute to shift changeovers, communicating plant status, safety information and operational priorities.
Participate in training programs to maintain and expand operational competencies.
Assist in the training and development of team members.
Provide Supervisor relief coverage during periods of leave or absence when required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Proven experience operating within a mineral processing, mining or heavy industrial environment.
Strong commitment to occupational health, safety and environmental performance.
Sound understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment and safe work practices.
Ability to monitor plant performance and respond effectively to changing operational conditions.
Well-developed problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
A proactive approach to continuous improvement and crew development.
The ability to work effectively in a shift-based environment.
Qualifications & Experience
Demonstrated progression through a Production Operator Career Pathway framework.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable) and/or
Section 26 Statutory Supervisor qualification (desirable).
Current licences and site competencies relevant to processing operations.
