Full Job Description

Help build the research engine behind an AI startup.

We're an early-stage AI startup building a new AI platform that helps businesses better
understand and serve customer segments they currently struggle to reach.

We're building a customer intelligence platform powered by real customer research,
and we're looking for our very first Research Operations Associate to help us build it.

This is an opportunity to work directly with the founder and become one of the earliest
members of the company.

What you'll do

Phase 1 – Participant Recruitment
- Identify suitable interview participants.
- Recruit participants through phone, email, LinkedIn, social media, community groups and
local community outreach.
- Schedule interviews using Calendly.
- Follow up with participants and minimise no-shows.
- Maintain an organised participant database.

Phase 2 – Field Research
Approximately 50% of our interviews will be recruited through in-person community outreach.
You will:
- Visit carefully selected suburbs with high concentrations of our target customers.
- Identify interviewees.
- Professionally and respectfully invite interviewees to participate in our research.
- Record observations about the surrounding environment and recruitment outcomes.

Phase 3 – Customer Research
You'll initially shadow interviews conducted by the founder.
As your capability grows, you'll:
- Conduct interviews independently.
- Produce structured interview summaries.
- Identify recurring customer questions, buying behaviours and pain points.
- Help maintain and improve our Research Question Library.

Education
Bachelor and above.
