About the role
This is a hands-on role combining server engineering, data centre operations and project/service delivery management. You will take ownership of day-to-day service delivery at the data centre site, working closely with customers, internal teams, data centre operators, OEM vendors and other service partners to ensure incidents, changes and technical activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with agreed service levels. Alongside coordinating projects and operational activities, you will remain technically hands-on and provide on-site server support when required.
Key responsibilities
- Own end-to-end service delivery for assigned data centre operations and projects, ensuring SLA, quality, safety and customer requirements are consistently met.
- Act as the primary on-site coordination point for customers, internal teams, data centre operators, OEM vendors, carriers and other service partners.
- Manage ticket intake, prioritisation, assignment, tracking and escalation, ensuring incidents and service requests are progressed within agreed timelines.
- Lead major incident response, including impact assessment, technical coordination, stakeholder communication, service restoration and post-incident follow-up.
- Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA), corrective actions and continuous service improvement following incidents and recurring technical issues.
- Provide hands-on server support, including rack and unrack activities, hardware installation and replacement, fault diagnosis, component troubleshooting, cabling, BMC configuration and basic OS initialisation.
- Coordinate hardware vendor support and RMA activities and ensure appropriate management of spare parts and assets.
- Review and coordinate production changes, ensuring approved tickets, MOPs/SOPs, access permissions, risk assessments and rollback plans are in place before implementation.
- Coordinate data centre activities relating to power, cooling, network connectivity, physical access, hardware deployment and infrastructure dependencies.
- Maintain accurate operational documentation, ticket records, asset information, incident records and change documentation.
About you
- 5+ years' experience in data centre operations, server infrastructure, critical IT infrastructure or a similar technical environment.
- At least 2 years' experience leading technical teams, projects or service delivery activities.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of enterprise server hardware, including hardware installation, component replacement, diagnostics and fault isolation.
- Practical experience with BMC technologies, basic Linux administration, rack installation and structured cabling.
- Good understanding of data centre environments and operational dependencies, including power, cooling, network connectivity, physical access and equipment deployment.
- Experience working within structured Incident, Change, Problem, Asset and SLA management processes.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate technical resources during high-priority incidents.
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a customer-facing operational environment.

- A strong commitment to workplace safety, operational discipline and accurate documentation.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with Mandarin language skills valued for building strong relationships with customers, partners and stakeholders across Australia and Asia.
If you have strong hands-on server experience, understand how critical data centre environments operate, and are ready to take ownership of both technical delivery and customer outcomes, we’d like to hear from you.
