Casual Restoration Technician Opportunity to Progress to Full-Time Employment

Quantum Restoration Services Pty Ltd
Location: Hallam, Victoria

Quantum Restoration Services is seeking a motivated and physically capable person to join our fast-paced restoration team on a casual basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the restoration industry. For the right candidate who demonstrates reliability, a strong work ethic and a commitment to learning, there may be an opportunity to progress into a full-time position.

Previous restoration experience is beneficial but not essential. We are prepared to provide comprehensive on-the-job training to the successful candidate.

About the Role

As a Restoration Technician, you will assist with water-damage restoration, structural drying, mould remediation, fire and smoke restoration, cleaning and controlled deconstruction works across residential and commercial properties.

The position is physically demanding and involves manual work in a variety of environments.

Your responsibilities will include:

Setting up and monitoring specialist drying and restoration equipment.
Undertaking controlled deconstruction, including removing damaged flooring, plasterboard, skirting boards and other building materials.
Manually lifting and relocating equipment, materials and contents.
Cleaning and decontaminating affected building materials and work areas.
Establishing containment and other site-control measures.
Taking moisture readings and documenting site conditions.
Completing photographs, moisture records and daily job reports.
Following safe work procedures and wearing the required personal protective equipment.
Working collaboratively with technicians, supervisors and project managers.
Communicating professionally with clients, occupants, builders and insurance representatives.

About You

Is physically fit and capable of safely performing manual tasks and lifting.
Has a strong work ethic and a positive, reliable attitude.
Is eager to learn and interested in developing restoration as a long-term career.
Works well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Can follow instructions while also showing initiative.
Takes pride in producing high-quality work.
Is punctual, dependable and professionally presented.
Is comfortable working in different environments and travelling to job sites.
Is willing to undertake ongoing technical training and industry certification.
Has flexible availability and is willing to undertake occasional overtime, weekend or emergency-response work when required.

Qualifications and Requirements

A current Victorian driver licence is required.
A valid Construction Induction Card (White Card) is preferred or must be obtained.
Previous experience in restoration, construction, demolition, cleaning or a related trade would be advantageous.
IICRC qualifications in water, mould, fire or contents restoration would be highly regarded but are not essential.
Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
Employment may be subject to appropriate background and pre-employment checks.
