We are seeking an experienced Advanced Field Service Engineer to join our service team supporting a major Woodside operation in Australia.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role for a senior automation professional with strong experience in Honeywell DCS and Safety Systems who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working directly with customers, and supporting critical production environments.
Based in Perth, the role includes regular site travel, occasional offshore support, and participation in an after-hours support roster
Key Responsibilities
- Provide maintenance, troubleshooting and engineering support for Honeywell control and safety systems.
- Support Experion PKS, Safety Manager SC, ControlEdge PLC and C300 platforms.
- Perform system upgrades, expansions and migrations.
- Support industrial networking, virtualisation and related infrastructure.
- Deliver preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
- Investigate and resolve complex system issues.
- Develop technical reports and recommendations.
- Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders.
- Identify improvement opportunities and support future upgrade strategies.
- Assist with project delivery, sales support and technical proposals
About You
You are a customer-focused automation engineer with extensive experience supporting critical process industries.
Required Skills & Experience
Essential
- 8+ years' experience with DCS, SCADA and Functional Safety Systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Experience in LNG, oil & gas, offshore or major process industries.
- Experience with brownfield upgrades and migration projects.
- Knowledge of industrial networking and virtualised environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Safety Manager SC (SMSC)
- ControlEdge PLC
- Honeywell C300 Controllers
- TDC2000/TDC3000
- CCC systems
- TÜV Functional Safety Certification
- Offshore experience and BOSIET certification
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, instrumentation/process, or a related discipline.
