About us

Get Glossed opened its doors as a sole trading outfit in 2004. Started by husband-and-wife team Sama and Belinda Welsh – partly as a way to ‘give back’ to the community by offering hard-to-find quality painting apprenticeships – it has since evolved into one of Byron Bay’s most respected businesses in the field.

Trained by master painter Tony Walsh, Sama has individually trained and nurtured a large and loyal and team of apprentices, painters, leading hands and site supervisors.

Today, the Get Glossed name represents many things: Consistency in quality. Reliability. Personalised service. Discretion. The ability to think creatively. Not only that, we’re super friendly, and work hard to offer great value for money.

We are currently looking for a skilled painter to join our team on a full-time basis.

About you
The successful candidate will play a part in a team of hardworking professionals. This is a dynamic and varied role, and you will be expected to deliver high quality service to a varied range of clients.

The duties you will perform include:

· Prepare walls and other surfaces through sanding, taping off outlets, repairing cracks, etc.

· Mix and apply paint, varnishes, and necessary solvents.

· Use a variety of tools to achieve the desired finish of painted surface.

· Set up and take down additional equipment as needed.

· Maintain all tools and equipment.

· Perform final inspection to ensure quality and accuracy of work.

· Adhere to workplace safety rules and regulations.

Position requirements

· Certificate III in Painting and Decorating

· Minimum 2 years of work experience (5+ years highly preferred)

· Attention to detail and focus on finishing tasks to a high standard

· Ability to liaise and build upon relationship with clients

· Organisational skills and cleanliness

· Punctual and reliable

· Able to work autonomously and as part of a team

Salary range: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year

Construction painting: 2 years (Required)
