About the Role:
Supporting communities across Adelaide's north starts with people who care about getting the details right. As an Administration Officer within the GP Plus Health Care Centre network, you'll be the organisational backbone of a primary health care team that delivers accessible, patient-centred services to one of South Australia's most diverse and growing communities.
What You'll Be Doing
Providing frontline reception and administrative support across GP Plus primary health care services within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN)
Managing appointment scheduling, patient registration, and health record coordination in line with SA Health privacy and clinical documentation standards
Liaising with clinical staff, patients, and external service providers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Maintaining accurate data entry and contributing to reporting processes that support service quality and continuity
What You'll Bring
Demonstrated experience in an administrative or customer-facing role, ideally within a health or community services setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn health-specific systems such as EPAS or similar patient management platforms used across NALHN
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate sensitively with patients from varied backgrounds
High attention to detail and a methodical approach to managing competing priorities
A current National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain

In this role you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills which will enable you to successfully problem solve, resolve conflicts and negotiate, including the ability to engage in difficult conversations, whilst building and maintaining relationships. An ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse and competing priorities and demonstrated resilience within a stressful and complex environment is essential to this role.

Our Local Health Network Sites and Services:
NALHN provides a range of hospital (inpatient), outpatient, community and home-based services across multiple sites in Adelaide’s north and north-eastern suburbs, including Aboriginal health, mental health, and GP services.
Lyell McEwin Hospital – the major hospital in northern Adelaide for emergency care, complex and multi-day surgery, medicine, obstetric, paediatrics and outpatient services.
Modbury Hospital – a general hospital with emergency care, elective surgery, medicine, outpatient and sub-acute services, rehabilitation, geriatric and palliative care.
Mental Health Services – adult and older persons mental health services and statewide forensic mental health services, across hospital and community settings.
Watto Purrunna Aboriginal Primary Health Care Services – provides culturally responsive primary healthcare services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in-hospital and across four community sites.
Primary Health Care Services – including GP Plus sites at Elizabeth, Modbury and Gilles Plains.
