Senior Advisor Communications & Change

Partner with leaders to influence change, strengthen engagement and bring organisational priorities to life.
Clerk Grade 9/10 with a salary range of $133,348 to $146,945 plus super
2x Temporary full-time opportunities based in Parramatta, Sydney or Gosford with flexible and hybrid working options available

SafeWork NSW is the state's workplace health and safety regulator. Our mission is to reduce work-related fatalities, injuries and illnesses by ensuring workplaces comply with health and safety laws. We achieve this through a mix of responsive and proactive programs targeting high-risk areas across all industries, aligned with our strategic plan and regulatory priorities.

About the role:

We are looking for a strategic and proactive Senior Advisor Communications & Change to lead the development and delivery of internal communications, engagement and change initiatives that support organisational priorities and business outcomes.

In this role, you will partner with leaders, project teams and subject matter experts to develop effective communication and change strategies that help employees understand, embrace and contribute to organisational transformation. You will play a key role in shaping how information is shared across the organisation, ensuring employees remain informed, engaged and connected during periods of change.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced communications and change professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong stakeholder relationships while delivering high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead communication and change initiatives that support organisational priorities.
Partner with leaders and stakeholders to deliver effective communication and change outcomes.
Develop and implement communication, engagement and change plans for projects and programs.
Create and oversee content across internal communication channels.
Mentor and support direct report and cross-organisational colleagues in communications planning and delivery
Provide expert communication and change advice to leaders and project teams.
Drive employee awareness, engagement and adoption of organisational initiatives.
Measure outcomes and continuously improve communication and change activities.
Use research, insights and best practice to inform recommendations and approaches.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Demonstrated experience in internal communications, employee engagement and projects requiring a change management approach within a complex organisation.
Strong written communication skills, with the ability to develop clear, engaging and audience-focused content across a range of channels.
Experience developing and implementing communication and engagement plans for large-scale projects and business initiatives.
Highly developed stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels.
Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use insights and data to inform recommendations and decision-making.
A collaborative and adaptable approach, with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes and exceptional stakeholder service.
Knowledge of change management methodologies and contemporary communication practices.
