Durk's Cafe and Eatery is a welcoming, community-driven space where guests can enjoy expertly brewed coffee and fresh, locally sourced meals. We take pride in the quality of our food, coffee, and service, letting these elements speak for themselves. Our passion lies in creating a warm, inviting atmosphere and delivering outstanding service to ensure every guest has a memorable experience.

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Cook to join our growing kitchen team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards in food preparation and presentation, as well as supporting the efficient day-to-day operations of the kitchen.

This full-time role is based in Marsden Park, NSW, with a salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation.

You must have a Certificate IV in a Culinary field or a higher-level qualification in this field and at least one year of full-time relevant industry experience.

Main tasks and duties involve:

Preparing and cooking all menu items.
Updating the menu to ensure variety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Overseeing and coordinating junior kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and plating.
Managing inventory, placing orders, and maintaining relationships with suppliers to secure fresh ingredients.
Recruiting, training, and managing kitchen staff, maintaining high standards of discipline and performance.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety and kitchen security.
Gathering and acting on customer feedback to enhance kitchen operations.
Identifying opportunities to improve and expand the services and facilities offered by the restaurant.

Successful candidates will be on an annual salary of $80,000 to $90,000, Plus Superannuation.
