As an Associate within the Client Insights team, you’ll be joining a high performing team focused on enabling ANZ Institutional originate high returning/complex transactions, enhance cross-sell, and enhance senior client engagement. The function develops and delivers strategic funding and transactional solutions/advice to key Institutional clients
The team’s key offerings/capabilities are in the below areas, in addition to selective thematic sector insights.
Capital management and funding structure optimisation (under event-driven (e.g. M&A, spin-off, etc) and BAU scenarios)
Credit ratings analysis
Acquisition capacity and M&A impact analysis
Balance-sheet, working capital and liquidity analytics/optimisation
Data insights
The team works closely with Coverage, Debt Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, Transaction Banking (inc. Trade) and Financial Markets to help clients navigate complex strategic, financing, capital management, and transaction decisions.

Role Location: Sydney What will your day look like?
Your key responsibilities will include:
Working with and supporting the Associate Directors, Directors and Head of Client Insights and Data Engagement
Undertaking company and sector research/analysis
Develop detailed financial models, capital structure analysis, and credit ratings assessments.
Analyse client balance sheets, working capital, funding profiles, liquidity positions, and capital allocation frameworks.
Supporting the development of client solutions and proposals
Creation of presentation materials
Engaging with key stakeholders (e.g. Coverage, DCM, Corporate Finance, Transaction Banking, Data Analytics, etc)
Client presentations, and delivery of insights
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Experience as an analyst/associate in a capital management, debt advisory, investment banking, corporate advisory, data insights, management consulting, and/or rating agency role
Demonstrated experience collaborating and communicating with a range of internal teams
Conceptual thinking and an understanding of corporate finance and credit concepts, alongside strong banking product and capital markets knowledge
Highly proficient in corporate finance analysis and financial modelling
Proficiency in data analytics
Strong problem solving and ability to develop client solutions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
