At SafetySuite, we are committed to continually developing our cloud platform, and we need a Software Development Team Lead to work closely with our Development Manager and support our local and international engineering teams.
We need you to
- Contribute as a senior software engineer and use your knowledge and experience in workplace safety to contribute to development initiatives.
- With domain knowledge, ensure you implement sustainable solutions.
- Provide technical leadership in the way you define solutions, conduct software reviews at a senior level.
- Support and mentor your less senior colleagues, locally and abroad.
- Take responsibility for selected projects.
- Apply continuous improvement and engage with internal stakeholders and partners.
- Support and contribute to the SafetySuite management team’s agenda.
We share our time working from home or our Melbourne CBD office when we want to mix things up.
About you
We are looking for a person who is a demonstrated senior software engineer and is already leading a team or is ready to step up. You will need to have a solid grasp of the entire SDLC from analysis through to design, development, review, QA, release, and continuous improvement.
Our environment involves a variety of technologies, and we are seeking someone who meets most of the technical requirements and has knowledge of the Workplace Safety Industry. Your learning ability and curiosity, coupled with our support, will get you up to speed.
We are interested in your capability as a senior software engineer, potential to mentor and team lead in the future, and your genuine experience in most of the following:
- Java, SQL, React or Open UI5 or Vue.js,
- CI/CD
- DevOps,
- Experience with AWS.
- Vulnerability management, CVE assessment, remediation, ISO compliance, disaster recovery, and other security-related activities.
- Architecture and Design
You must have
- Technical experience to set you apart as a leader,
- Full-stack capability and commercial experience,
- Confidence to make recommendations and drive high quality outcomes,
- Technical and functional problem-solving skills,
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or equivalent,
- Existing workplace safety knowledge in a development environment,
- Knowledge of Safety Compliance in A Regulatory Environment,
- Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal),
