Oil-in-Water Instrumentation Specialist
Lear Siegler Australasia Pty Ltd (LSA) is an Australian-owned company with nearly 50 years of experience delivering environmental monitoring, process control and industrial instrumentation solutions throughout Australia and New Zealand.
As the exclusive Australian distributor and service provider for Inov8 Systems Oil-in-Water monitoring technology, we are expanding our Perth operations and are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our national technical team.
This is a unique opportunity to become a specialist in the installation, commissioning, servicing and support of advanced Oil-in-Water monitoring systems used throughout the oil & gas, mining, industrial and environmental sectors.
Previous hands-on experience with Inov8 Systems Oil-in-Water analysers will be highly regarded and given preference during the selection process.
The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to work across Lear Siegler's extensive range of environmental monitoring instrumentation and receive ongoing manufacturer training as part of our experienced national service team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Installation, commissioning and integration of Oil-in-Water monitoring systems.
- Calibration, servicing, troubleshooting and repair of Inov8 Systems Oil-in-Water analysers.
- Fault diagnosis and preventative maintenance of process analytical instrumentation.
- Technical support to customers both remotely and on-site.
- Preparation of service reports and technical documentation.
- Interstate travel to support customers throughout Australia when required.
- Working closely with our national engineering team to deliver high-quality technical support and customer service.
Desirable Experience
Applicants with experience in one or more of the following areas will be highly regarded:
- Inov8 Systems Oil-in-Water analysers (preferred)
- Oil-in-Water monitoring systems
- Process analysers and online analytical instrumentation
- Environmental monitoring instrumentation
- Industrial process control systems
- Extra-low voltage (ELV) instrumentation and control circuits, including 4-20mA loops and 24V DC systems
- PLCs, SCADA and industrial automation
- Instrument commissioning, calibration and field servicing
- Oil & gas, mining, wastewater or industrial process monitoring environments
Skills & Qualifications
The successful applicant will ideally possess:
- A relevant trade qualification or equivalent industry experience in instrumentation, process analysers, industrial automation or a related technical field.
- Strong extra-low voltage (ELV) electrical and instrumentation fault-finding skills — no electrical trade license required.
- Mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving ability.
- Excellent computer, networking and software skills.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a national service team.
- Strong communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and pride in delivering quality workmanship.
