Work Arrangement: FIFO

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Drill Fitter to join our Mining – Drill & Blast team at our Cowal (West Wyalong), NSW operations. This will be on going, long-term project work.

This is a full-time position. DIDO on a company supplied bus with accommodation available for those residing outside the West Wyalong area. Roster is 7:7 (days) – day shift and night shift.

The primary purpose of this position is to assist in all aspects of the daily business activities associated with the maintenance services on site.

This role would ideally suit someone who has a positive attitude towards safety, training & environment. Good communication and organisational skills, with an emphasis on teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

Performing scheduled drill servicing across Epiroc D65 rigs
Performing unscheduled repairs
Maintaining and servicing light vehicles
Technical guidance & field service support to operations personnel
Training & support to other SRG employees
Liaison with OEM’s & suppliers on technical issues

The successful applicant will have:

C Class Drivers Licence (Manual)
Hold a Mechanical Trade Certificate
Drill Fitter experience on Epiroc D65 preferred
Good communication and organisational skills, with an emphasis on teamwork
A positive attitude towards safety, training & environment
Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment

Desirables

Heavy Rigid (HR) Drivers Licence
Refrigerant Handling Licence
High Risk Work Licence
Mechanical aptitude
Local to West Wyalong and surrounding areas
