THE ROLE
Join Beaumont Tiles as a Retail Sales & Design Consultant and help customers bring their renovation and interior design projects to life.
We are looking for a Retail Sales & Design Consultant to join our Beaumont Tiles team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has an eye for colour, texture and styling, and is confident guiding customers through product selections for bathrooms, kitchens, laundries, flooring and renovation projects.
We are not a typical transactional retailer. We are a consultative, service-focused business where customers rely on us for advice, product knowledge and design guidance. Your role will be to create a positive and memorable experience for every customer while helping the team achieve sales targets.
Reporting to the Store Manager, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming customers into the showroom and building strong rapport
- Assisting customers with tile, bathroomware and hard flooring selections
- Leading design consultations and helping clients select products to complete their project
- Explaining product features, benefits, finishes and suitability
- Creating detailed and accurate quotations and sales orders
- Following up with customers to secure sales and support them through the buying process
- Maintaining showroom presentation and visual merchandising standards
- Processing point-of-sale transactions
- Replenishing stock and assisting with stock takes when required
- Assisting with warehouse duties, including receiving goods, dispatching orders and packing customer orders
- Comfortably lifting up to 25kg when required
- Forklift licence highly regarded, but not essential
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone who is motivated, customer-focused and excited by interiors, renovation and design.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in retail sales, showroom sales, interior design, tiles, bathroomware, flooring, building products or a related industry
- A genuine passion for interiors, design, colour, finishes and renovation
- The ability to build rapport quickly and guide customers with confidence
- A consultative sales approach and genuine interest in helping people solve design problems
- Strong listening skills and the ability to work with customers from different backgrounds, including renovators, builders, designers and trades
- Confidence working towards sales targets and personal budgets
- A willingness to continually develop product knowledge and become an expert in the field
- Good literacy, numeracy and attention to detail
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to be part of a supportive team
Experience in tiles, bathroomware or flooring will be highly regarded, but it is not essential. Full product training will be provided.
