About the Role

Reporting to the Supervisor of the Fixed Plant team, your role will be primarily based underground liaising closely with surface and underground mine personnel. You will be involved in executing planned and unplanned maintenance tasks, as well as helping to ensure any plant downtime issues are escalated and actioned effectively.

This position with be situated in Fixed Plant Mechanical Underground – Crew B.

In this role you will:

Promote and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day
Assist with any planned maintenance and complete tasks in a timely manner
Provide mechanical trade skills to perform unplanned or breakdown maintenance on Fixed Plant
Work with your team to a high level of accountability and be able to build productive team relationships
Provide Feedback to the Shift Maintenance Supervisors on job progress
You will be exposed to the following equipment underground: Crusher, Train and train loading systems, conveyor motor and gearboxes, Hydraulic, water and air operated systems and a various pumps including GEHO and Schneider. Experience on any of these will be highly desired.

About You

Willingness and capacity to work underground for long shifts
Competent computer skills with the ability to document thorough details of task history.
Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way
Underground mining experience highly regarded
Rigger, Dogger, Crane, FL and Bridge & Gantry tickets also advantageous
Solid time management skills and ability to prioritise
A proactive team player who is also self-motivated and able to work effectively unsupervised
Ability to communicate well across multiple levels and disciplines
Note - Australian Recognised Mechanical Trade Qualifications essential
