The Opportunity
We're looking for a Distribution Centre Operations Supervisor to join our Distribution Centre team and play a key role in leading daily warehouse, fulfilment and inventory operations. Reporting to the Order Fulfilment Manager, you'll be responsible for driving operational excellence across ecommerce fulfilment, stock processing, inventory control, replenishment, returns, dispatch and team performance within a fast-paced retail distribution environment.
As a hands-on leader, you'll oversee day-to-day workflows, monitor and communicate KPIs, coach and develop team members, and ensure all operational activities are completed safely, accurately and efficiently. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams across Customer Experience, Retail and Support Office functions to maintain service levels, solve operational challenges and continuously improve processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading day-to-day Distribution Centre operations across ecommerce fulfilment, replenishment, stock processing, returns and dispatch functions
- Monitoring operational performance and driving KPI achievement across productivity, accuracy and service levels
- Coaching, mentoring and developing team members to build capability and maintain a high-performance culture
- Managing inventory accuracy, stock discrepancies, replenishment activities and warehouse workflows
- Ensuring timely processing, allocation and movement of stock throughout the Distribution Centre network
- Investigating operational issues and implementing practical solutions to improve efficiency and customer outcomes
- Maintaining strong communication across departments to support operational priorities and service delivery
- Promoting a safe, organised and productive warehouse environment while ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety standards
What we’re Looking For
We're seeking a proactive and results-driven leader with experience in warehouse operations, logistics, fulfilment or distribution centre environments. You'll be passionate about leading teams, driving operational performance and delivering outstanding outcomes in a fast-paced setting.
You’ll bring:
- Experience in a Distribution Centre Supervisor, Warehouse Supervisor, Logistics Supervisor, Fulfilment Supervisor or similar operational leadership role
- Proven experience leading, coaching and developing teams to achieve operational and service KPIs
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfilment, stock control, replenishment, dispatch and returns processing
- Experience monitoring performance metrics, analysing operational data and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies and implement effective solutions
- High attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Sound computer skills, including experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), RF scanning technology and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience working with material handling equipment including pallet jacks and lift trucks
- A commitment to workplace safety, operational excellence and creating a positive team culture
Highly regarded:
- Experience within a retail distribution, fulfilment or supply chain environment
- Forklift licence
- Experience with inventory analysis, stock accuracy and warehouse reporting
- Knowledge of RF devices and warehouse technology solutions
- A genuine passion for career development within logistics, warehousing and distribution operations
