The Position:
STACK is seeking an experienced and dynamic EHS & Compliance Advisor/ Officer to support its growing team to provide support to on Data Centre Operation and Corporate functions. As an owner’s EHS Representative, you will partner with our Client, Service Providers and Maintenance contractors and their Subcontractors to ensure that all the DC facility and operations work are carried out in safe manner in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and STACK standards. As experienced and hands-on in managing safety in DC operations or similar industry, the successful candidate you will lead, influences, monitors and supervises EHS compliance to the highest standards of excellence.
Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in DC Operations, Processing Plant or Manufacturing industry.
Have fair knowledge of local statutory and regulatory requirements.
Able to communicate effectively with clients on EHS matters and issues to reach an agreed solution.
Experienced in communicating and problem solving as a team with contractors and sub-contractors’ supervisors and workers.
Experienced in developing and delivering Operational and Process safety topics and conducting toll box talk and pre task briefings.
Demonstrated experience conducting safety inspections with eyes on seen and unseen unsafe conditions.
Experience in identifying hazard and missing control for the preventive and ad hoc maintenance work for infrastructure and operation equipment e.g. chillers, generators and HV, MV and LV panels.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Support to clients SLA and KPI performance requirements related to EHS.
Submit client EHS related reporting, weekly, monthly quarterly as required.
Support the implementation of EHS policies, systems, and procedures across all DC Operational sites.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation, STACK Standards and client requirements.
Assist in the preparation and review of SWMS, risk assessments, and EHS documentation for preventive maintenance works.
Provide coaching and support to site teams, subcontractors, and workers on safe work practices.
Contribute to incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action management.
Deliver inductions and safety training to build a strong culture of safety.
Conduct daily toll box talk before starting of HRA activity, review and confirm implementation of controls.
Issue Permit to Work after physical verification of controls for the requested activity.
Maintain accurate EHS records and reporting for management and clients.
Provide direction and leadership of the site operations teams in relation to all Health and Safety systems and processes, including effective development, training and discipline of the site operation and maintenance organization, as part of the leadership team.
Provides advice and consultation to operate the client’s facilities regarding health and safety matters.
Ensure meetings with maintenance contractors, specialist vendors and suppliers are undertaken to the required standards, establish and oversight the vendor management governance, and develop corrective action plans when, or if, performance falls below expectations.
Ensure support is provided to the client with statutory compliance requirements/certifications for the site.
Ensure site operations, including incident management and escalation in accordance with approved Client / Customer / C&W procedures, including the near miss reporting.
Conduct daily site safety walks identify hazards, missing controls, correcting unsafe acts, hazardous conditions and monitor safe work practices for facilities and any activity undertaken.
Record daily safety observation from safety walk and report/record their safety walk observations.
Conduct daily meetings with contractor safety team members when preventative maintenance work is undertaken.
Communicate Site safety observation with respective contractor/subcontractor, Issue and monitor close-out of non-conformance and non-compliance reports.
Maintain review and revise Integrated Business Management System in alignment with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 and all other relevant certification across the region.
Maintain and keep updating all necessary records to ensure compliance and maintain ISO certification for DC Operation and corporate function across the region.
Lead and coordinate IBMS certification and surveillance audit across the region as per plan.
Any Other EHS duties or task assigned by STACK Management or VP EHS & Compliance APAC, VP Critical Operations or EHS Manager.
Key Details:
Qualifications and Experience:
Diploma/ Certificate IV in OH&S from recognized and accredited institute in the country.
Minimum 3 -5 years’ experience in Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) in complex, high risk industry, Process industry preferably in Data Centre Operations environment. Operations.
Familiarity with electrical systems, fire suppression systems, and HVAC.
Strong communication skills for coaching and influencing behavior, risk assessment abilities, and proficiency in creating EHS documentation
Lead Auditor courses in Auditing ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 is desirable.
