Job Description
As a Supply Chain Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the right products are available in the right stores at the right time. Partnering with cross-functional teams and key supply chain stakeholders, you will translate business priorities, supply chain strategy and financial objectives into effective demand and inventory plans that optimise service levels, inventory investment and total cost to serve.
Working closely with Store Operations, Marketing, Finance, Property, Bunzl, Royal Foods and Starbucks Asia Pacific, you will drive planning excellence, support business growth and ensure a seamless supply experience across the network.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage demand plans across multiple product categories, including Food, Core Starbucks branded products, Limited Time Offers (LTOs) and Merchandise.

Identify, analyse and consolidate product demand requirements to support accurate forecasting and supply planning.

Assess supply constraints and potential gaps, balancing demand with available inventory and supply capacity.

Manage fair-share product allocations to stores to support availability and minimise stock disruptions.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with Bunzl and Royal Foods to ensure alignment on demand plans and inventory performance.

Develop, maintain and continuously improve inventory policies to optimise stock holdings and service levels.

Monitor inventory performance, including stock availability, shelf life and inventory health across key supply partners.

Prepare insights, reporting and recommendations for Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) forums and facilitate planning discussions.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging technology and process enhancements to improve planning effectiveness and efficiency.

Produce and analyse supply chain performance reports, providing visibility of key metrics and improvement opportunities.

Provide support and backup coverage for the Supply Chain Specialist as required.
Key measures of success:

High forecast accuracy across Food, Starbucks branded products, LTOs and Merchandise.

Reduced stock-outs and improved product availability across stores.

Effective inventory management resulting in lower obsolete stock levels.

Qualifications
Skills & Experience
Required Experience:

Minimum 3 years’ experience within a supply chain environment, including at least 18 months in a demand planning, inventory management, or supply planning role.

Proven experience managing forecasts, inventory performance and supply planning activities in a fast-paced commercial environment.

Life at Starbucks Australia
Starbucks Australia is proudly Australian owned and operated. We are a small company with large growth plans. We’ve based in Collingwood, with expansive end-of-trip facilities (all shower amenities soaps & towels included), concierge services with dry-cleaning and parcel collection provided, and current building works for our very own Starbucks café on-site. We work on a hybrid model with 3 days in office, 2 from home.
