About the role
We have an opportunity for 2 Application Analysts to be part of our Testing Services, Technology & Communication Services Command. The Application Analyst provides specialised testing and analytical support across multiple project streams, ensuring ICT solutions are validated, functional, and aligned to NSWPF business requirements. The role is responsible for developing and executing manual and automated test cases, preparing test plans and schedules, analysing defects, and confirming that system behaviour meets documented requirements and acceptance criteria. It works closely with developers, business representatives, and technical teams to clarify requirements, identify issues, and support the delivery of high-quality applications, consistent with NSWPF policies, standards, and security practices.
In addition to test execution, the Test Analyst contributes to broader application analysis by reviewing system functions, assessing technical and functional impacts, and assisting with troubleshooting and fault resolution. The role supports continuous improvement of testing processes and maintains effective stakeholder relationships by ensuring issues are identified early, communicated clearly, and resolved efficiently. Through its combined testing and analytical responsibilities, the position plays an essential part in delivering reliable, fit-for-purpose solutions within a complex policing environment.
